Safety Tips inearly-stage fire emergency

  • In case of fire, immediately notify the operator and passengers nearby.
    • Notify the operator directly or through the emergency intercom (one in each car).
  • Fight the fire in cooperation with passengers (two fire extinguishers in each car)

  • Report to the operator directly or through the emergency intercom in the car
  • Call 119

Escape Guide and Tips

  • Escape to a safe area through the exits, according to the directions by the staff.
  • If unable to get directions by the staff
    • Exit outside by following the hallway or emergency lights as calmly as possible.

      • Move to other unaffected cars to keep away from smokes and toxic gases
      • Wait calmly until the train stops.
    • Train not in operation
      • Get off the train quickly and orderly.
      • Exit through the fire escape by following the direction by the staff.
      • When passing through smoke, cover your mouth and nose with a towel or handkerchief and lower yourself to the ground.
      • Remain Calm. Do not get terrified.

Passenger Support in train fire prevention and in the event of a fire

  • Report any suspicious person.
  • Notify a train crew of any suspicious person or dangerous materials (gasoline, thinner, etc.)
  • Try to stop his or her unlawful or suspicious activity.
  • Notify the operator when police or other assistance is needed.
  • Do not smoke or play with fire in the car.

      • Open the door by pressing the lower part of the button.
      • Unbelt the fire extinguisher by pulling the belt and take it out.
      • Hold the lower part of the fire extinguisher’s handle with the left hand and pull the pin.
      • Aim the nozzle at the base of the fire and press the handle.
  • Emergency handle on the entrance/exit door (emergency switch)
    • Location: the right side of the upper part of the door
    • Instructions
      • Break the cover of the emergency handle on the entrance/exit door
      • Hold the emergency handle(switch) and turn it clockwise to “Emergency”.
      • Slide the door open with both hands.
  • Emergency interphone for the passenger
    • Location: left side on the connecting door in the front and rear end of the car
    • Instructions
      • Break the cover of the emergency intercom.
      • Take out the intercom by pushing it upward.
      • Press the key and report the emergency situation.※ Keep pressing the key or you will not hear the operator’s response.
      • If the operator does not respond, wait for a while and try again as the emergency intercom automatically connects you to the control room that automatically controls the train.

In case of emergency landing in a place without a platform

  • Use the emergency ladder in the operating room as the operator directs.
  • In case of any emergency situation when it is difficult to follow the operator’s directions, slide the door open using the emergency switch on the entrance/exit door and exit the train by landing on the railway. Do not go down the railway in the opposite direction.
